YOU DON'T NEED FANCY STUFF!
You can probably relate to this... when I got started with watercolour (over 10 years ago!), I had absolutely no idea what I was doing!
Now, let's rewind just a li'l bit (this is relevant I promise!)...I became a mum when I was 15 - my eldest son was born in the school holidays between grade nine and grade 10.
As you can imagine, life was hectic!

Between finishing high school, navigating parenthood, trying to maintain friendships and alllll that, I didn't have much time (or money!) for hobbies.
​
But, that's where watercolour comes in!
​
I didn't know what supplies I needed (and that I wasn't supposed to be painting on photocopy paper, oops!).
​
So, when I got started with watercolour I had no idea what I was doing - I didn't know what supplies I needed (or that I wasn't supposed to be painting on photocopy paper!).
In fact, the paints I was using were $2 from the supermarket, aaaand they technically belonged to my toddler!
​
I didn't know what watercolour techniques there even were, so I know didn't what I needed to learn, let alone how to learn it. But, nonetheless, one day I picked up those crappy $2 paints and just had a play/dabbled with painting after my son had gone to bed.
And, it was amazing, it was a really lovely way to relax and unwind and just muck around, even though I had NO idea what I was doing.
Eventually upgraded and bought some brushes and paint for myself, and actual watercolour paper (aka not printer paper).
I spent almost every night when I wasn't studying sitting at the table with my laptop set up, watching The New Girl on DVD, just practicing and mucking around.
I'd try to reverse engineer how things were done, but looking at other people’s work, experimenting and seeing what happened! It took me, well, ages!
But, over time (with lotssss of trial and error, and some YouTube tutorials/library books to help along the way) I improved, and even (somehow!?) started teaching watercolour to people just like you!
WHY am I telling you this?!
I got started because I wanted something just for me, to help me unwind and relax - and now I'm helping you do the same!
For me, painting is the closest that I get to feeling relaxed - it helps me quiet my mind a little, and just have some fun (and occasionally create something that I love and want to hang on the wall!).
That's why I do what I do - because I saw that watercolour painting was an incredible way to relax and unwind and do something just for me.
By sharing my experiences (and mistakes!) I can help you avoid that sense of overwhelm, and you can just jump in and start painting and have some fun, and feel confident and experience the fun, relaxing side of painting!
Plus, I'll help you develop your own style so you can look at any flower or leaf and know how to paint it, without watching a step by step tutorial!

Never painted before? No worries!
This course is designed to help you find your own unique painting style, but don't worry, it's beginner friendly! In fact, this course also includes access to my course 'Learn Watercolour Fast' so you can brush up (pun intended) on all the basics, so you can paint with confidence even if you've NEVER painted before in your life!
What supplies do I need?
If you're not sure what materials you need I actually talk about this in module 1 of the course, and I also offer kits on my website as well - rest assured you don't need anything fancy though - those old watercolour paints from the back of your craft cupboard? Give ‘em a go!

I wanna sign-up but I can’t even draw a stick figure - is this course for me?!
Heck yeah, this course is for YOU! There are no stick figures in this course at all so don't stress about that. I’m gonna give you all the tools you need so you can paint with confidence!
I’ve signed up for courses before but lost motivation/never finished them. What if I fall off the bandwagon/can’t keep up?
Firstly, this course is designed so you can complete it at your own pace - there’s no rush! Wanna chip away at it when the kids are asleep at night? That’s awesome! Wanna smash it out in an afternoon? That’s great too!
I’ll also be sending you emails along the way to make sure you keep motivated, and also offer extra tips and support.
How long do I have access to the course?
You’ll have access to this course for as long as it’s available on my website (it’s not going anywhere soon!), so you can log in and work through the material at your own pace, yay!
What level is the course suitable for?
If you’re an absolute beginner, or if you’ve dabbled in watercolour painting before but you’re looking for more confidence then this course is for YOU!

Can sell and/or exhibit work I create during the course?
By the end of this course you'll have found your own unique style, so if you’ve created artwork that is unique and not strikingly similar/a copy of the artwork demonstrated in this course, then YES, by all means - go for it (and tell me about it!!!). If in doubt, get in touch with me and we can chat about it.
What is the refund policy?

Is high speed internet access necessary to complete the course?
Yes, you’ll need sufficient internet access because the majority of course content is video.
Can I access the course on my smartphone?
The course site has been optimized for computer and mobile, however for best results I recommend accessing course content on your computer.
